JHALOD VIDHYA SAMAJ TRUST (A Brief History)
.Thalod Vidhya Sarnaj Trust, was constituted in June 1992 when the former managing trust of Arts . Commerce College Jhalod (Jhalod Kelavni Mandal) due to some unavoidable reasons, suddenly decided to close the college. Thus keeping in view the future of about 1200 students already admitted in the college at that time, the government and the university administration handed over the management to the then newly constituted Jhalod Vidhya Samaj Trust. The member of the trust included the well known academicians and educationists like Shri K.S.Shastri, the former Vice Chancellor of Gujarat University, Shri D.M.Shikh. Shri R.H.Vyas and a number of other well known principals and lecturers of various colleges, who are always devoted to the development of education in its true sense. Since then Jhalod Vidhya Samaj Trust has been managing the institutions of higher education in Jhalod, with all efficiency and success. The trust was also able to start the self finance B.Ed College in 2003 when USA based NRI, Dr.Priyakantbhai Desai, came forward with generous donations to sup-port the cause of the trust. Shri Anilbhai.M.Desai and ‘ Mrs.Rakshaben.Mehta the representative member of Dr.,Jyakantbhai, also took a sincere interest in the development of the institution. Hence Dr.Priyakantbhars mother’s mine is associated with this institution. This institution is known as Jamuben Kantilal Desai (Self Finance) B.Ed College. It is running successfully with all infrastructural facilities.
